Art direction
The intention of the visual language developed for Uri is to lift and empower our Filipino makers and shining a light on their highly crafted products.

The art direction ensures that every campaign shot elevates and highlights the artistry of the product as well as producing finely balanced tone of subtlety
We researched the most regenerative and durable fibres grown locally to our family's farm in the Philippines.

We now grow 500 abaca trees which we harvest by hand to utilise for all of our products. Our (mostly) female weaving communities are based within 10 kilometres of our farm. When setting up and training our communities, it was a priority to hire single parents or grandparents who have sole care of the vulnerable in the communities.

We have strived to create a structure where families can empower themselves with an income whilst taking care of their vulnerable. Our weaving styles have been developed from existing indigenous weaves, starting with the most basic, so that we can train any one of any skill level.

We then sell directly to our customer - The complete supply chain.

The designs have been made so that they are fully compostable in your garden waste but also they are developed from indigenous skill sets which not only keeps the heritage alive but passes this onto a new generation of weavers.
